1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide usage information to site operators. Cookies may be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (remain on your device for a period of time).
We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session storage for the same purposes described in this policy. Local storage data persists until you clear your browser data or the specific data is removed by our application. Session storage data is deleted when you close your browser tab.
2. Cookies We Use
Brandkept uses a minimal set of cookies, limited to those necessary for the service to function and for basic analytics.
Session and Authentication Cookies
Strictly NecessaryPurpose: These cookies are essential for you to be able to log in, stay logged in, and use authenticated features. Without these cookies, the service cannot function.
Provider: Brandkept / Supabase Auth
What they store: Session token (encrypted), user ID, session expiry timestamp
Retention: Session cookies deleted on browser close; persistent auth tokens expire after 24 hours of inactivity or 7 days maximum
Can you opt out? No — these are required for the service to work. Blocking them will prevent login.
Preference Cookies

Provider: Brandkept
What they store: Your selected interface language (e.g., 'es' for Spanish, 'ko' for Korean)
Retention: Up to 12 months, or until you clear your browser data
Can you opt out? Yes — you can clear these via your browser settings. The service will still function but preferences will not be remembered.
Analytics Cookies
Third-Party AnalyticsPurpose: Understanding how the product is used — which pages are visited, how users navigate the app, and key events such as account creation. This helps us improve the product.

3. No Advertising Cookies
Brandkept does not use any third-party advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioral advertising technologies. We do not participate in any advertising networks. We do not track users across other websites for advertising purposes.
Because we handle children's data, we maintain a strict policy of zero advertising tracking on our platform. This applies to all users, not just users with children's data in their accounts.
3.5. Your California Privacy Rights
California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because Brandkept does not use advertising cookies or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA.
If you wish to submit a privacy rights request (access, deletion, or correction), contact privacy@brandkept.com.
